Walmart invites promising Indian sellers to expand into its US market

Select Indian sellers can now apply to join Walmart Marketplace, a community of curated sellers that serves more than 120 million US shoppers each month. The initiative is an extension of the retail giant’s engagement with Indian exporters that dates back more than 20 years. Already sourcing most of its goods from India, the company plans to export $10 billion from the country every year by 2027.

Walmart is seeking new Indian sellers as part of a global campaign to attract international sellers and expand Marketplace’s product assortment. Selected sellers will be able to take advantage of Walmart’s fulfillment services, which allow them to use Walmart’s U.S. warehousing and delivery infrastructure, as well as platform tools that help them streamline their operations. and manage promotions and reviews.

Walmart also appropriately shares US customer insights, global supply chain best practices, and business planning strategies with its Marketplace sellers to help them succeed in the US.
