Suchit specializes in advising a wide range of alternative asset investors, including hedge funds, private equity funds, limited partners and corporations on the valuation of illiquid securities and establishing best practices and fair value policies and procedures.

Suchit focuses on execution valuations of illiquid securities for financial reporting purposes. Securities include US and global debt securities (such as revolvers, term loans, subordinated debt and mezzanine debt), partnership units, private equity and leveraged investments in sectors such as healthcare, consumer products, finance companies, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, oil and gas, and entertainment. Suchit has valued companies as well as a wide range of debt and equity securities and intangible assets across many industries for a variety of purposes, including mergers and acquisitions transactions, financial reporting, tax, restructuring and administration of executive compensation plans.

Prior to joining Kroll, Suchit was a Principal at Stout Risius Ross, where he was responsible for developing and executing a variety of illiquid investments (as noted above). He was also responsible for business development initiatives and the growth of the portfolio valuation practice. Prior to Stout Risius Ross, Suchit served as senior vice president with Houlihan Lokey, head of illiquid real estate and venture capital asset valuation for the portfolio valuation group. He has also worked in structured product markets, including valuations of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and secured debt securities (CDOs). In addition, he has also worked on complex option valuations, including Monte Carlo and Binomial option pricing models.

Suchit earned a master’s degree in financial engineering from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai.
