QC launches livelihood aid for small businesses – Manila Bulletin
Quezon City’s Social Services Development Department (SSDD) launched the “Sikap in Galing Pangkabuhayan (SIGAP)” to provide technical assistance and livelihoods to small businesses and growing entrepreneurs in the city.
The event took place at the indoor promenade of Quezon City Hall on Friday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sixteen groups of small businesses received SIGAP on upfront payment.
Beneficiaries must complete the professional SSDD course and undergo training in organization, management, business preparation and accounting before receiving livelihood assistance.
Assigned SSDD staff will monitor beneficiaries on a weekly basis for six months and supervise them monthly for two years to ensure the success of their businesses and the program.
Livelihood assistance was also provided to 114 Quezon City residents under the Small Income Production Capital Assistance Program (SIGA) for sari-sari store owners and small business owners. companies.
