Frazier & Deeter, a nationally ranked accounting and consulting firm, was named Best CPA Firm for Equity Leadership, as well as Best Firm for Women, by Project Accounting MOVE. Frazier & Deeter is the only company based in the South East to receive this honor eight times.
The MOVE Accounting project measures and supports the promotion of women in accounting and consulting firms. The MOVE report outlines tactics that women, women’s advocates, and business leaders can adopt to ensure that female CPAs can achieve their career aspirations and drive business growth in the process.
“In an industry that typically struggles with inclusiveness, Frazier & Deeter is committed to creating a culture where everyone feels welcome and supported,” noted Rasheedah Luqman, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DCI) at Frazier & Deeter. “Since the inception of the DCI Committee, our programming has helped cabinet members better understand issues such as gender bias, racial bias, and issues facing the LGBTQ + community. ”
Monique Quindsland, Champion Partner of the Frazier & Deeter DCI Committee, added: “Frazier & Deeter was ahead of its time in terms of providing flexibility that supported working parents, which helped the firm retain women over its 40-year history. The DCI committee builds on this foundation with formal affinity groups for women and parents, which will help us attract and retain exceptional women as the firm continues to grow.
“The findings of this year’s report reveal that despite overwhelming uncertainty and change in the workforce, collaboration, diverse perspectives and the ability to embrace change have given women a lever to create new opportunities in a difficult professional landscape, ”said Cindy Stanley, Director and Director of the Alliance of Women Accountants and Finance (AFWA), the partner association of the Accounting MOVE project. “Companies realized that by providing women with the opportunity to work in a remote and hybrid work environment, they were able to cultivate a diverse and expanding pool of talented professionals. ”
The Accounting MOVE Project List of Best CPA Firms for Equity Leadership recognizes companies with a percentage of female partners and directors that is well above the industry average.
Frazier & Deeter’s Women’s Business Leadership initiative supports women executives and business owners. Since its inception in 2009, the initiative has offered programs for women looking to start a business, expand an existing business, or improve their leadership skills. In addition to supporting women business owners, this program also offers women in the business a unique platform to build a network of business relationships.
About the MOVE accounting project
Since 2010, the MOVE Accounting project has been measuring and supporting the promotion of women in accounting and consulting firms. MOVE is the only annual benchmarking project that counts and advocates for women in the profession.
MOVE is made possible thanks to the support of its sponsors and the administrative costs paid by the participating companies. Companies receive benchmarking reports based on the MOVE project.
