Farm Credit of Southwest Georgia Offers Farming Workshop – The Post-Searchlight

Southwest Georgia Farm Credit will be offering a free business planning seminar for youth, beginners and small-scale farmers this summer!

Farm Finance’s comprehensive business and financial literacy workshop, AGAware ®, is designed to promote and educate the next generation. AGAware ® provides farmers with the skills they need to start developing a business plan, improve their existing plan or analyze their cash flow to make their current operation more profitable. The one-day workshop will cover a variety of topics relevant to promising farmers, including budgeting, personal finance, risk management, succession planning, and more.

If you have a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) direct loan, you can obtain your USDA FSA Direct Borrower Education certification through the AGAware program, which is required for recipients of FSA direct loans.

The AGAware workshop is free and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Albany, GA on August 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are included.
